Twin Cities Rec Hockey is expanding opportunities for adult players who want structured, meaningful ways to improve their game. Our goal is to offer high-quality clinics that give adult skaters real coaching, clear instruction, and focused reps on the skills that are hard to develop during league play. These sessions are built to help players gain confidence, understand their game better, and enjoy hockey even more as they grow.
We’re fortunate to work with coaches who bring a wide range of experience and teaching backgrounds.
• Michaela Bahl blends figure skating foundations, semi-pro playing experience, and high-level officiating to create detailed, supportive instruction.
• Justin Nicol, PT, DPT, OCS combines years of coaching with a strong sports physical therapy background, including time supporting athletes within the Minnesota Wild organization.
• Andy MacDonald, Andy is the Head JV Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, and the Director of Sports Performance for the Chanhassen Storm boys' program. He has extensive experience in exercise science, athlete development, and safe, effective skill progression. He is a Certified Hockey Training Specialist and holds an M.S. in Exercise Physiology.
Each clinic is open to all levels and focuses on practical drills and coaching that adults can immediately apply in games. Upcoming clinic dates and registration links are listed below.

Our weekly pickup skates are built for players who want a relaxed, low-pressure way to get on the ice. The focus is simple: move the puck, keep the pace friendly, and enjoy the game with a great group of people. Twin Cities Rec Hockey is all about community—fun, safe, and welcoming for everyone—and these skates are a perfect option for players who want more ice time without the structure or intensity of league play.
Pickup is a great chance to work on your game naturally, get comfortable with the puck, and just have fun out there. Full-Time TCR League players can skate for free, but must reserve a spot—email brandonmhofer@gmail.comYou can see a list and register for upcoming skates at
